Send Us a Piece of Them

After placing your order, we send you a secure collection kit. You return a small amount of hair (just a few strands) or cremation ashes — as little as 0.5g. Everything is handled with the utmost care and respect.

Carbon Purification

Our scientists carefully extract and purify the carbon from your sample. This process removes all other elements, leaving only the pure carbon that will become your diamond. Each sample is catalogued and tracked individually.

Yes. Your Luminary diamond is grown from the carbon extracted directly from your loved one's hair or cremation ashes. The carbon that forms your diamond comes exclusively from your sample — not from any other source. Each diamond is as unique as the person it honours.

Absolutely. Your Luminary diamond is chemically, physically, and optically identical to a mined diamond. It is certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) — the world's foremost diamond authority. The only difference is its origin: it was grown in a laboratory from the carbon of someone you love.

We require a minimum of 0.5 grams of cremation ashes or 0.5 grams of hair (approximately 10–15 strands). For reference, a standard cremation produces approximately 1.5–3 kg of ashes, so the amount we need is very small. We will send you a secure, pre-labelled collection kit with clear instructions.

Any ashes not used in the creation process are carefully packaged and returned to you alongside your diamond. Nothing is discarded. We treat every sample with the same reverence we would wish for our own loved ones.

The full process — from receiving your sample to delivering your finished diamond — takes between 2 and 4 months, depending on the carat size and colour you choose. Larger diamonds and certain colours require more time to grow. We provide regular updates throughout the process.

Yes. You choose the carat weight (0.25 to 2.00+ ct), the cut (from 12 options including Round Brilliant, Oval, Cushion, Princess, and Pear), and the colour (Colourless, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Green, or Black). Each choice is available at different price points, and our consultants are here to help you decide.

Always. Each sample is individually catalogued, labelled, and tracked throughout the entire process. Your diamond is grown exclusively from your sample. We maintain a strict chain of custody from the moment we receive your kit to the moment your diamond is delivered.
